WELDER (Apprentice)

minimum academic/technical qualification as per the apprentices act 1961: 

should have passed 10th class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10, +2 system of education or its equivalent.  

fresher category:

1 welder 1 year 3 months

2 fitter & painter 2 years

rate of stipend

fresher’s - x std rs.6000/- (per month) 

age limit (as on date of notification):

i) the candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 22/24 years for freshers/ex-iti, mlt respectively.

ii) the upper age is relaxable upto 3 years for obc, 5 years for sc/st candidates and 10 years for person with benchmark disability (pwbd).

a. Candidates who want to avail the benefit of reservation of sc/st, must produce his/her caste certificate issued by appropriate authority at the time of document verification. Similarly the candidates, who want to avail the benefit of reservation of obc, must produce obc with non-creamy layer certificate issued by appropriate authority valid for the current year and also self-declaration form regarding current status of non-creamy layer at the time of document verification. Otherwise they will be considered as ‘ur’ only, with age limit pertaining to ur

b. Candidates who want to avail the benefit of reservation must produce a disability certificate issued by competent authority (i.E medical board constituted by the central or state government). The disability of the candidates should not be less than 40%
