Lathe Operator

job description: job summary:incredible devices is looking for a skilled lathe operator to set up and operate lathes to fabricate precision components for our products. The candidate will also be responsible for the mechanical fitting of all products manufactured by incredible devices, ensuring quality assembly and compliance with engineering specifications.

key responsibilities:

• set up and operate lathe to machine precision components.
• read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining and assembly requirements.
• select, install, and adjust cutting tools, attachments, and fixtures.
• measure and inspect finished components using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
• perform mechanical fitting and assembly of all products manufactured by incredible devices, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening of parts.
• make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and specifications.
• perform routine maintenance on lathe machines, ensuring proper lubrication and upkeep.
• ensure compliance with safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• collaborate with engineering, quality control, and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve machining and assembly issues.
• maintain production logs and report any machine malfunctions or material defects.

required skills & qualifications:

• experience: minimum 1-3 years of experience as a lathe operator in a manufacturing environment.
• education: iti , machining, or a related field.
• technical skills:
• proficiency in operating lathes.
• ability to read and understand engineering drawings and tolerances.
• strong knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, and speeds for different materials (metals, plastics, etc.).
• hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and fitting of machined components.
• strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• ability to work independently and as part of a team
